DANS NORDEN (Northern Dancers) is an Indianapolis dance group specializing in traditional Scandinavian folk dances. The group was founded in 1986 and performs regularly at various venues including the Indiana State Fair, Indianapolis International Festival, Midsummer Festival at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, churches and nursing homes. The group often invites the audience to the dance floor to learn simple dances.

Dans Norden usually meets for practice on Monday nights (except the first Monday of each month) in the historic Athenaeum building at 401 E. Michigan Street in downtown Indianapolis. Practice is from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the small ballroom on the first floor. New members and visitors are welcome. No experience or partners are necessary. The cost is $5 for each session, with a $10 maximum for the month. Free parking is available in the lot just east of the Athenaeum. Parking tokens will be distributed during our break.
